Personality

The word Personality comes from persona in Latin (meaning 'mask'). In the old days, 'persona' was the mask used by actors when performing.

Because people frequently use psychological disguises (masks) -
defense mechanisms - persona became personality, meaning how other people see us and, later, not the disguise but the real self. People with an integrated personality do not play roles: they assume their own life and express themselves freely.

Freud's Concept:

Freud was the most famous researcher on the subject. According to his first definition, the personality is constituted by UNCONSCIOUS (memories and thoughts not accessible to the conscious), PRE-CONSCIOUS (memories and thoughts accessible to the conscious) and CONSCIOUS (memories and thoughts we are aware of). Latter, he defined it as constituted by ID (the forces of fundamental desires), EGO (the self) and SUPEREGO (the forces of censorship and discipline).

Professor Longhi's Concept:

"After 50 years studying this subject, I realized that there are different concepts being used but they are sometimes vague. I concluded that there is a fundamental point Freud did not consider: the TRANSCONSCIOUS (Freud insisted in acting as an atheist...)
For me:

Personality is the set of psychological and parapsychological forces that make us think, feel and act in our own way.

We can detect the psychological forces in: affection, maturity, the Oedipus Complex, sociability, leadership, professional adjustment, persistence, professional tendencies , talents (IQ), will, introjections, etc.

The definition for the parapsychological forces comes from Parapsychology: Telepathy, Clairvoyance, Precognition and Psychokinesis.

Aggressiveness, frequently taken as force, certainly is not. On the contrary, aggressiveness is insecurity - weakness. Security brings calmness. A secure person almost never loses his head.

Freud was a very intuitive man. He once said:

'After 41 years working as a physician, my self-knowledge tells me that I have never been a physician in the right way...'

Today, he would probably change his concept about personality to include the parapsychological forces."

Answering the tests of the PR, our clients give us profound knowledge of their personality, from many angles, and we are able to see the way we should guide them to integrate their personality and point them towards self-realization and happiness.

Script

This is a pre-conscious life plan decided during gestation and infancy (up to 7 years old) under the influence of parents and parental figures.

The forces acting to form the script are spoken and non-spoken messages (these are deeper and more decisive because they involve mind-to-mind communication). The baby, when feeling accepted, wanted and loved, forms a positive script. When feeling aggression, rejection (because, for example, of its sex or even being born), will form a negative, destructive script, which he or she will try to punish his parents and himself with.

Family Script :

This is the script of a family. Not everybody follows it strictly.

    An example:
There was a family of very poor people, almost homeless. The father was an alcoholic and the mother inattentive. They had 3 children. When babies, all of them were taken to an orphanage, where they lived for ten years. Today:

    • one of them became a judge (his script was: "my family and the society were not just with me. I will show them how justice might be done")
    • the other one became a drug dealer (his script was : "I have been robbed. They have taken me love and everything. I am going to take my revenge on them by spoiling everybody with drugs")
    • the third one became an alcoholic and beggar (his script was: "I didn't have 'good milk'. My revenge will be drinking 'poison' to attack the society and make them give me back what they took").

Three different personal scripts formed in the same environment: one winner and two losers..

Insight:

We call insight a deep perception that takes place resolving some inner conflict. The insight has the power to transform the person, bringing them to a higher level of consciousness. It is light, discernment, comprehension, instantaneous intuition...

When someone has an insight, it's common to hear from him:
"
I had an insight. Now, I can see it clearly. Now I can live the reality, live the truth. I've grown up. I feel free like a bird out of a cage."

Abulia and low IQ: signs of inadequate introjection

Introjection is the influence over our personality of spoken and non-spoken "messages" our parents (and parental figures) pass us in our infancy (from gestation to 7 years old) .
The introjection can affect both the emotional level and the rational level. When it
negatively affects the rational level, it blocks the IQ, resulting in a low quotient. When it negatively affects the emotional level, it blocks the ability to make decisions, causing abulia. When both the rational and emotional levels are negatively affected, the result may be an apathetic and slow person.
